Rob Leach

Rob Leach is one of the most recognised trainers in the Australian performance horse industry, with a training philosophy and method centered on building a willing partnership with the horse.

His love for horses was formed at an early age, starting as an assistant breaker for a reputable racehorse trainer near Melbourne. His ambitions took him to the Northern Territory where he soon became the leading horse breaker in the region. Eager to increase his knowledge, Rob travelled to the U.S. where he spent nearly a decade training and competing and even ran his own training operation in California. It was here that he won a World Championship at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity.

Since returning to Australia, Rob has quickly achieved success within the cow-horse industry and has repeatedly topped the country's largest performance horse sale, the Nutrien Classic at Tamworth. Rob now operates as Rob Leach Equine in Tamworth, New South Wales, with a focus on training, competing and conducting clinics. He trains each horse to the best of their own unique ability, giving them the confidence to excel in any arena.
