First Horse:

A black and white Shetland pony called Oscar. My parents thought they should by me a pony so I would stop trying to oil horse’s feet in the yards.

Current Horses:

Current horses:

Ike (Marine): Ike is the Newest Memeber of my team of horses. He is a 10 year old brown warmblood gelding and he is b grade. Ridden previously by my coach and former Olympian Jamie Coman he is a wonderful horse and is a great addition to the team. He adds a lot of character to the stables. He was previously owned by the wonderful Laura Santry and Sue Darvall. I am very greatful to have Ike on my team of horses.

Meg (Croftlea Merry Dance): A Chestnut mare, 17hh Irish Sport Horse, bred in New Zealand and is A grade. Meg had a successful time in Queensland before I brought her and she has brought me great success. She has brought me much confidence and got me jumping great heights and has improved me as a rider. She is my Main Young Rider horse and I also compete in Mini Prix and Grand Prix with her. She is wonderful horse to have on the team and she isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

Clyde (Master Darnley): A Bay gelding Clydie X, 16.2hh B grade. Clyde is quite a character and is a joy to have on the team. We brought him from a lovely man in Victoria and he has just been a blast to ride and he is so much fun.  Clyde is my Junior/ Young Rider horse and he also competes in Mini Prix.

Blue (Bluesta): A bay gelding Thoroughbred, 17.1hh A grade. Blue was bred in New Zealand and I brought him from a lovely lady in South Australia. I have been jumping Young Riders, Mini Prix and Grand Prix on him and I hope to start him in some World Cups next year. He is a great asset to my team and he defiantly isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

Brian (Twins Zenith): A Bay Gelding Warmblood, 16.1hh C grade. I brought Brian from the beautiful Butcher Twins and he is a great addition to the team. I jump in him Young Riders and Futurity’s and hopefully Mini Prix soon.

Bundy (Hennessy): A brown Thoroughbred gelding 17hh C grade. I purchased Bundy from my Uncle in NSW and he is quite the cool horse to have. I have been jumping him in juniors and futurity’s and the odd Young Rider class. He is a lovely natured horse and he is a good member of the team.

Rex: a bay gelding thoroughbred, 16.3hh. I brought Rex off the track and he is coming along very well. He knew absolutely nothing, which is expected and he has turned into quite a lovely horse. He is just jumping around the 80/ 90cm mark at the moment but I hope to start him in some D grades soon.

Dude: A brown gelding warmblood, 17.3hh. Dude is only 4 and when we got him he had never jumped with a person on him. He is a lovely natured horse and he is already doing flying changes. He is a fast learner which is quite good and he is moving along nicely.

Aspirations:

Like most others I would love to represent Australia at the World Equestrian Games and the Olympics but first I would love to win a National Title whether it be Young Rider or Senior and then I would love to win a World Cup.

Any major injuries:

I had only had a few concussions and lot of bruises and sore muscles and bones until earlier this year when I had a young horse rear up and flip over backwards and land on top of me and fractured my wrist.

Advice for aspiring riders:

Dreams do come true. You just have to make them happen! And make sure you work hard for what you want and don’t give up.

Most admired sportsperson:

My most aspired horse person would have to be my mum. Even though she hasn’t been to the Olympics, she has won numerous World Cups and State Titles and without her I wouldn’t be where I am today. She helps me everyday and takes me all around the country to do shows. I am very great full for everything she has done for me and she will always be my admired sports person.

If you could invite 5 people

to dinner who would it be

& why:

Edwina Alexander: She is a great rider and I would love to talk to her about the European tours and what its like over there.
Leonardo Dicaprio: He is my favourite actor of all time and he is one of the best actors in the world. Plus it just wouldn’t be a dinner without Leo.

Sam Stosur: She is a great tennis player. To come back like she has and then win that massive title she is an inspiration. It goes to show that dreams do come true, you just have to make them happen!

Bart Cummings: He is one of the best race horse trainers in the Australia and he has made and trained some of the best race horses in Australia and he is a wise man.

My Nanna: Not only so she can cook the dinner but because she is my favourite person. She is always there for me and would have to be one of the coolest and most loved nanna’s in the country. I have to fight my friends off so they don’t take her for themselves. And quite frankly I don’t know what i would do without her.
