Husband - Adrian

Hobbies:

Kickboxing, basketball, netball

Favourite Food:

Pasta

Favourite Movie:

I love the Pirates of the Caribbean series, also Lord of the Rings

Favourite Books:

Probably a horse magazine!! I read ‘chick flick’ books so I can switch off at night!

First Horse:

“Coco” – the typical little grey pony, I got her for my 3rd birthday

Current Horses:

I currently have 3 top performance mares, all Australian Stock Horses: ‘Kelly Fraser’ – bay, 9yrs, ‘Stoneage Giggle’ – black, 8yrs and ‘Stoneage Slips’ – chestnut 5yrs

Career Highlights:

I am hoping that the best is yet to come very shortly, but to date my highlights include the first time I represented Australia in a Tests Series against the UK in 2008, being part of the last 2 WA Women’s Teams that won the Australian Champions title at the Nationals in 2008 and 2010, being part of the Australian Team that won the International Quadrangular Series in 2009 and the most recent was being selected for the Australian Team that will compete at the 2011 Polocrosse World Cup (held in the UK July 8-17).

Aspirations:

My short term aspirations are all totally focused on winning the World Cup in July this year and helping Australia retain the World No 1 ranking but down the track I hope to be competing on our home bred horses at a National level. I also hope to continue to develop our Embryo Transfer programme and offer international clients the opportunity to access some of Australia’s best stock horse genetics.

Superstitions:

I have a few pairs of lucky socks that I can’t leave home without!

Any major injuries:

I have been very fortunate and not had any serious injuries through Polocrosse. Of course following a tough tournament there are the countless bruises and bumps but that’s all part of the sport, builds character! Couple of splits lips and black eyes here and there!

Advice for aspiring riders:

Always be open to advice, never make excuses for yourself or your horse and if you want to achieve your goals no matter how small or big, make sure you are giving 100% towards them that way you know you will have no regrets.

Most admired sportsperson:

Would probably have to be Michael Jordan

If you could invite 5 people

to dinner who would it be

& why:

Michael Jordan – probably just sit and stare at him but would try and remember to ask him a few ‘secrets to sporting success’ tips.

Richard Branson - to try and secure a major sponsorship for Polocrosse!

Ross Noble or Billy Connelly – purely for comedy reasons!

Roger Federer – again just to talk sports and how he prepares himself.

Jamie Oliver – so he could cook the dinner!
