INGREDIENTS | - Natural
Vitamin E -This unique and highly stable form of Natural Vitamin E known
as RRR-a-tocopherol is up to 5 times more bio available and potent than regular
synthetic sources of Vitamin E. Research has shown that Natural Vitamin E provides
higher retention levels in plasma further aiding antioxidant, immune, cardiovascular,
circulatory and neuromuscular functions.
- HYGAIN®
RBO® - RBO®
Equine Performance Oil® is a blend of rice bran
oil, omega essential 3,6 & 9 fatty acids and natural antioxidants known to
improve the health and structural integrity of cell membranes. RBO®
oil plays an important role in maximising energy efficiency due to its energy
dense nature and is digested efficiently in the small intestine reducing the sugar
high associated with high grain diets. RBO® promotes
growth and development of the muscular system, top line and a healthy skin and
coat.
| | FEEDING
GUIDE | 3
IN 1® is suitable for performance horses in pre
training, training and competition and has been formulated to be fed with a balanced
mineral vitamin supplement such as HYGAIN®
SPORTHORSE®, cereal grains such oats and/or MICRBARLEY®
along with a minimum of 1% of body weight as fibre such as quality hay and or
chaff or as an energy top up with premixed feeds.
For horses that require
an oats free diet 3 IN 1® can be fed with MICRBARLEY®
or fed on its own at increased levels along with a mineral vitamin supplement
and a minimum of 1.5% of body weight as fibre such as quality hay and or chaff.
3 IN 1® should be introduced to your horses
diet gradually.
Feeding amount may be influenced by age, breed, exercise
intensity, desired body condition and climate. 3 IN 1® is
a highly palatable, digestible energy source. Care should be taken to match feed
intake to workload. Reduce feed intake on rest days, if horses gain weight and
/ or training regime is interrupted. Horses in training and receiving regular
exercise on average will require 2 kg of 3 IN 1® together
with 4-7 kg of grain and a minimum of 1% of body weight as fibre such as quality
hay and or chaff.
Feeding
Tips:
1. Introduce 3 IN 1®
to your horse's diet gradually over a 7-14 day period. 2. Feed by weight
and not by volume. 3. Feed a minimum of 1% of your horse's body weight daily
as roughage. 4. Horses have a small stomach, so feed little and often.
5. Ensure horses have access to clean water. 6. Do not add additional vitamins
or minerals unless directed by a veterinarian or nutritionist. 7. For dietary
recommendations and nutritional solutions contact HYGAIN®. | | ANALYSIS

| | Why
Micronize | Micronizing
is a Short Time, High Temperature patented process using the grains
moisture and infrared heat to achieve conditions essential for the optimal cooking
of starch and starch gelatinisation. During processing the grain becomes soft
and pliable, causing the reconfiguration of the starch structure (gelatinisation).
Immediate flaking fully gelatinises the starches so as to significantly enhance
the digestibility and nutritional value of the feed.
The small intestine
is the epicentre of nutrient digestion in the horse. Vitamins, minerals, fats,
protein and starch are readily absorbed in the small intestine. Research shows
that feed digested in the small intestine significantly increases the rate of
glucose (energy) absorption. The starch in MICRONIZED grains can be up to 95%
digested in the horses small intestine where as the starch in whole, cracked
or steam-rolled cereal grains such as barley or maize is only 20-40% digested.
The remaining starch is then fermented in the large intestine, this in turn increases
the burden on the large intestine producing elevated levels of lactic acid, gas
and heat. MICRONIZED grains transfer the site of digestion back to the small intestine
improving feed efficiency and reducing the burden on the hind gut resulting in
fewer incidences of dietary induced problems such as colic, acidosis, laminitis,
loss of appetite, nervousness, fatigue and reduced performance.
