How I saved my old friend with HYGAIN TRU CARE

I bought SB Kidman in 2006, he was bought as a bit of a problem horse which didn’t bother me at all. I wanted to see if I could "fix" him I guess, he was a bit of a hot head and didn’t suit his previous owner. When he got off the truck my husband said to me "What have you done?" off hopped this skinny little tiny hack. "He'll be right" I said.
After 2 months of working and feeding, investigating and fixing issues I had Snip in good show condition with a complete attitude change. He did a season of shows with me and he always came home with a champion or reserve and had several supreme champions in led and ridden. The time came and I had to sell him due to a breakdown of marriage and without being able to get him to the bigger shows, so I advertised him and found what I thought was a suitable home for him.
Cut a long story short he was sold on again and I was contacted by the new owners to say that he wasn’t suitable for their child and they were having issues and after several phone calls and emails we decided that he would come home to live with me again. When I picked my now 17 year old horse up I was shocked by the lack of condition! I was wondering how on earth I was going to get him back to his former glory, if able to at all. See picture below.
After having tried a couple of different feeds, I came across the HYGAIN TRU CARE and decided to give it a go as he is an older horse and thought he would benefit from it. After 2 weeks I noticed a massive difference in his weight and attitude. He was brighter, happier and eating absolutely everything I put in front of him, which could be rare for Snippy! I started light work with him and I noticed that his movement was even a lot more flowing.
I wanted to take Snip out to a show because he was looking so well. So I asked my friend to ride him for me on Sunday for a Champion Hack win at a local show in Geelong. Not bad for an old horse!
I’m happy that I have found a feed that works for Snip and is affordable for me, We love it!
