The Australian Halter Showcase was held at
Werribee Park Equestrian Centre from
March 9th – 12th 2006
.
The show was extremely well supported again this year where 284 horses from
all states of
Australia
gathered to compete for 36 trophy buckles, $30,000.00 in prize money plus
many other prizes.
Day
1: Thursday arrived, The American Judge Holly Hover, was welcomed to the
pen and the show was underway. Ahead of the competitors were 92 highly
contested events which would take 4 days and 3 nights to complete.

Day 2 and fantastic weather greeted us again. Today would see the
battle for the Saddle Up Super Horse and 3 more Showcase events unfold. The
Super Horse competition requires the
Horses
to compete in 5 different disciplines – Halter, Hunter Under Saddle,
Trail, Western Pleasure and Reining. This truly brings to the fore the
versatility of the western horses involved.

Halter and Performance of the Reining horses made for exciting viewing.

Day 4 Sunday, the last day had arrived and even though it was an
