Equine Nutrition and Awareness AUSTRALIA - Survey

Students from the Marketing Development Programme in UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School in Ireland are currently carrying out a market research into the equine industry in Australia. The purpose of this research is to investigate the buying habits of people involved in purchasing horse feed and supplements, and also to examine the awareness of the World Equestrian Games.

Dynamik Stallions, owned by Kristy Jarvis currently owns four German Riding Pony Stallions and two future broodmares bred by Imported German Riding Pony Sires. Dynamik Stallions is the home of the two imported German Riding Ponies DON PHILINO (Medium advanced level) and TOP DER DA (Novice, Elementary level). Don Philino was the first German Riding Pony Stallion to be imported into Australia in 2008. .

RDA Fundraising Auction

The RDA horse, named “Capability” was sold at auction by Inglis Bloodstock on 18/3/11. 

This life size horse was painted by artist Barbel Georgi during the Equitana Melbourne Festival in November 2010 and donated to Riding for the Disabled Association of Australia.

Sharon Jarvis wins a Trifecta

Equestrian WA awards night was definitely a night to remember for Hygain Sponsored Rider Sharon Jarvis. Sharon was awarded Para Equestrian of the Year, her horse Applewood Odorado was named Horse of the Year and to complete a perfect triffecta, Sharon was named Sports Star for 2010.

Sharon won two bronze medals in Dressage at the recent World Equestrian Games and now has her sights set on representing Australia in the paralympics in London 2012.

Hygain toasts Equitana 2010! 　

Once again Melbourne proved it is the Sporting Capital when it hosted Equitana 2010 on the 18th-21st of November. Record crowds flocked to the Melbourne showgrounds for some retail therapy, education seminars and to watch the clinics and demonstrations from an aray of equine disciplines.

Hy Gain Feeds were thrilled to be part of the show by supporting the 200 Equitana volunteers. Hygain also took part in the trade village with a stand, themed as a Bar. Marketing Assistant, Michelle Tones said “A lot of time and effort went into the design of the stand from the artwork, spirit dispensers branded with our supplements to the presentation of our feeds. Many people commented on the bar and said we were the best looking stand at the show”....

After Americain’s triumphant Geelong Cup win last month, the American bred horse, trained in France and Australian owned has stamped his place in horse racing history today, by winning the 150th Melbourne Cup.
